Help Support these Cancer Fighting Cyclists, September 8th!

The General’s Guard has had a mission that most of us can personally relate to:  cancer sucks and they want to kick it’s ass, period.  That’s what they’ve been fighting for several year’s, ever since one of their members originally started the cycling team to commemorate his fallen General to cancer.

Michael Martin and his friends, including Rev. Daniel Kanter of the First Unitarian Church of Dallas, will be hosting their annual fundraising event, Survive and Thrive 2012 at the Sundown Restaurant at the Grananda on September 8th, starting at 7:30 PM.  The group has raised over $150,000 since beginning their efforts several years ago.  Here’s the flyer for the event!

Bike Friendly Oak Cliff wants to help support such a cause as it’s so near and dear to us, for so many reasons!  Please help support this effort by attending and filling their donation jars.

A group ride to the event will start at Main St. Gardens and ride to the Granada Theater, here are the details:
