Another amazing year in Bike Friendly Oak Cliff! Many thanks to all our friends and neighbors that took part in our rides and events. We are looking forward to an even more fun 2014 as we expand our board members and ramp up on events, education and advocacy. Just a few highlights from this past year and outlook for 2014:
Other initiatives we are tracking include:
Sylvan bridge over the Trinity to have a bicycle lane
Sylvan from Singleton to Jefferson could have a cycle track, but will need our support as it goes to Planning Commission
Design for Coombs from tennis courts to Hampton Rd
Akard, Ervay and Saint Paul streets downtown will also have a planning comission hearing for including bicycle lanes
Victory and Houston will be changed to two way and have bike lanes
In other news the city and Uptown Dallas are planning a Cyclovia in April-May time frame and the much anticipated Bike Share program will be kicked off this spring with a study by the City of Dallas. It is looking like a great year for biking in Dallas! Stay tuned for more info on how you can get involved!
