BFOC’s brother-in-arms, BikeDenton, reported their first successful Denim Ride! This was all the more incredible given the rainy weather. Check out the slideshow from Danny Fulgencio at the Dallas Observer.

As a side note, BFOC hopes to do a story on the bike movement happening in Denton soon. Howard Draper, longtime friend of BFOC as well as noted area musician who’s manned the helm in such notable indie bands like Okkervil River, and Shearwater, is leading the charge in the advocacy movement. He’s recently been assigned to the city’s transportation committee, and is actively working with UNT’s administration to revive Denton’s bike plan with a major focus on bicycle infrastructure. Expect major changes in the not too distant future.
