It was a pretty amazing year for bicycling in Oak Cliff. From Better Blocks to Bastille Days to Symphonies in the Park to Tweed Rides, we couldn’t have asked for a more memorable time. Here’s a few of our favorite pics of the year from the following photographers: Elliott Munoz, Darren Braun, Wendy Wezensky, Richard Wezensky, Ange Fitzgerald, Andrea Roberts, Harry Wilonsky, Amanda Pounds, Sara Kerens, Matt Hawthorne, and Bryan Gooding.

Could someone please explain to me why in many of these photos people are not wearing a helmut since there is an ordinance in the city of Dallas?? I personally do not agree with the law for ALL ages and would like to see it changed. Has anyone taken up a petition drive to repeal the current law or amend/change it. I am harassed by downtown cops on occassion but just ignore them and have never been ticketed. BFOC pushes all these fun things to do on bikes and then blatantly break the law. splain…..Lucy
Hey Brad,
That’s a great question. The only answer I can give is that it’s a personal preference for people. It is the law, but riders tend to know and accept the possibility that they may be ticketed.
Hope that helps.
