North and South Dallas will be united on October 23rd with the community built Trinity Trail project that began this summer. The City of Dallas, the Trinity Trust, DORBA, Groundwork Dallas, the Trinity Strand and Team Better Block are asking for you to join our effort. With over nine miles of off-road trail already completed it is time to connect the Trinity with the Katy Trail and Bishop Arts District. The on-street bicycle facilities are set to be the first of our modern bicycle system plan. We have found the most expedited and efficient way for this connection to be made is with community funding. The Dallas Parks Foundation Fund under the Dallas Foundation has agreed to collect the funds for the project and the City of Dallas will direct efforts on the ground with construction crews to begin striping the streets within weeks. Our goal is to raise $75K in 20 days! Help us as we connect the North and South with trails, bridges, parks and people. The names of all donors will be added to a plaque that will be installed at one of the trail heads.
