Bikes. Kids. Root beer. Fun.  Pretty much sums up the 7th installment, we think?, of the awesome-st, raddest, coolest bicycling event BFOC puts on!

In conjunction with the Rosemont Dad’s Club, kids at Rosemont Elementary in the Kings Highway Conservation District have seen ridership drastically increase since the very first iBike Rosemont week happened in 2010!   Now, many parents who moved to Oak Cliff because it’s a very bikable neighborhood are seen regularly riding with their children to school on a regular basis.  Check out this video put together a few years ago about the event!

This year’s event will take place from April 20th – 24th with kids being challenged to ride everyday to school, and receiving a huge rootbeer float party at the end of the week.  Anyone is welcome to attend the Friday ride to Bishop Arts and Eno’s.  The pizzeria has been a sponsor of the event since day one, and is a huge supporter of Bike Friendly Oak Cliff.
