Bicycle Photo Scavenger Hunt and Oktoberfest in Bishop Arts this Sunday

This is turning out to be a pretty exciting weekend for bicycling in Oak Cliff. We already mentioned Bike-In movie night beside the pool at the Belmont this Friday, where we’ll be showing “Breaking Away”. On Sunday, be sure to head out for 75208 and’s Bicycle Photo Scavenger Hunt. Over 100 people have confirmed to take part via the Facebook event, so this should be a big contest. I can’t give away any of the scavenger hunt requirements but I will say that one of the girls who came up with the Alley Cat Race stops (including the Climb Into A Reddy Ice Cooler stop below) co-wrote the list, so expect it to be crazy.

The hunt ends at 3PM, and prizes will be announced at Eno’s during their Oktoberfest event. Full rules for the contest are located here, and it’s free to join, so start forming your team…you won’t want to miss this!

  1. What’s the best route to get here from a train station? Thinking of heading to the Tyler Vernon station, then heading north along Tyler, across to Pembroke, then north along Bishop. How’s the traffic and riding conditions along that way?

(posted this question on the facebook page as well.)

  2. That’s a good route. Or you could go North on Tyler until you hit Seventh Street (you’ll pass the Oak Cliff Bicycle Company this route). Go East on Seventh, which takes you right into the district.
