Next time you’re in the Bishop Arts District, head over to Dude, Sweet Chocolate and check out the new bike rack built by David Spence. David used part of the original streetcar rail laid in Oak Cliff in 1903 that he had acquired after the city had done road repairs on Bishop Boulevard.
A handful of new spots are opening around North Oak Cliff, and the owners have been forwarding us other plans for creative bike racks. Maybe we’ll start being known for our unique art racks…stay tuned!

However I would not recommend hanging your bike by the brake levers.
Good point! Not best to use on bikes with drop bars…you can still latch to the side posts though.
I highly recommend the Dude Sweet chocolate covered dates while you’re there. Holy cow they’re awesome. And what a cool bike rack.
