Councilmembers Scott Griggs and Monica Alonzo are hosting a townhall to discuss implementation of bike lanes on FWA/West Commerce and the future of FWA/West Commerce Corridor as a complete street. The Fort Worth Avenue Development Group and a consortium of property owners and groups including BFOC recently contributed $25,000 toward the striping of bike lanes on this Street. Please come out to support creating a safer West Commerce/Ft. Worth Avenue for all!

Here’s a great example of what can happen on a busy thoroughfare to successfully balance the needs of cars and bikes. I drove along this road for years, and it was always busy and dangerous. Now it’s busy and safe–for both cars AND bikes.
