This is a funny (if not sarcastic) way to describe the problem. You know you’re in trouble when a restaurant charges $5 to valet park your car less than 100 ft away (because there are no sidewalks). 😉

Here is the salient point in Jason’s post:
“If tollroads do create major investment and development, why isn’t anyone in Park Cities (where the majority of our region’s wealth exists) asking for a highway through their neighborhoods?”
The Park Cities have fought a simple WIDENING of Mockingbird tooth and nail, much less a new road.
That should tell you a lot about the “development value” of new roads.
