An ambulance rushed him to the ER after the driver fled. After an MRI and 2 days in the hospital Zac is back on his own two feet.Zac’s is an example of what we don’t want to happen to cyclists in Fort Worth and in other communities around DFW and Texas. With bicycles gaining more and more popularity as well as more cities installing cycling infrastructure we need to make sure that cyclists are not only supported but safe as well.Bike Texas is an organization which focusses not only on Bike Advocacy but Driver Education as well. We need your help to raise funds for Zac’s medical bills and to raise awareness to encourage other’s to keep an eye out for bikes!
We will have live music, raffles, food and brews! We will kick off an awareness ride and cover the route Zac was on when he was struck.
