The Better Block project, which started in Oak Cliff by several members of BFOC, has since become an international movement taking place in countries as far away as Australia. Today marks the first guerrilla street repair project in Iran! A student working on his dissertation at UT Arlington met with leaders of the original project to discuss the idea of putting together an urban intervention in Tehran. Today marks the launch of that project. The group, dubbed Bahamestan, set out last night and painted cross walks, delineated parking from pedestrian areas, painted gray walls, and setup outdoor play areas and markets.
