Bike Rodeo – Nov 5 (8AM – 10AM)

Join BFOC for Oak Cliff’s first Bike Rodeo on Nov. 5th from 8AM to 10AM at the 10th street parking lot at Cliff Temple Baptist Church (125 Sunset Ave, Dallas). The Bike Rodeo will be in conjunction with Oak Cliff’s farmer’s market organized by the Oak Cliff Lions Club. RSVP here.

This Bike Rodeo is taught by certified instructors from the League of American Bicyclists. Instructors set up an interactive bicycle obstacle course for children to maneuver through, teaching bike handling and safety skills through active learning. This fun and free activity challenges children and emphasizes the importance of controlling your bicycle, watching for traffic, and turning safely.

Before children get on the course, we check their helmet fit and discuss the importance of wearing a helmet. Helmets will be provided by Texas Medical Association’s Hard Hats for Little Heads program, which will be available on a first-come, first-served basis. We also do a basic safety check on their bicycle to ensure it is in good working order.

Participants must have a working bicycle, a helmet that fits (a limited number of free helmets will be available for participants), and a parent/legal guardian present.
